BIO

Gabriela “Gabby” Jasso was born and raised in Middle Tennessee. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in Social Justice and History with a minor in Environmental Justice. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Library and Information Science at San Jose State University. Before working for NAZA, she led bilingual community programming and outreach for families and youth at the Denver Public Library. Prior to that, she has been a middle school special education teacher and worked for local Nashville organizations like the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition, Nations Ministry, and the Trevecca Urban Farm. Working with youth in schools, nonprofits, and libraries has provided her with a range of experiences to help encourage youth leadership initiatives in her role as Youth in Action Coordinator.
