We’re on the path of developing our community superheroes! With a focus on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) our students are provided the space to actually feel every emotion that consumes them. We take them through interactive and reflective activites that allow them to analyze their emotions and find an outlet to positively express those emotions. An additional component to our superhero curriculum puts students in a leadership role that allows them to find the lemons within their community, personal lives, and school and turn it into lemonade.

As the year progresses, we utilize the skills of our staff and community resources to ensure our students are maintaining satisfactory grades.

YES offers educational and recreational programs as alternatives for kids ages 5 – 18 during after school hours and summer break. Programs effectively provide inner-city youth a safe place to go where they can engage in social, educational, recreational and cultural development. We build each child’s individual strengths, provide an extensive network of supports through the YES community, and link families to resources that help them achieve greatness.
