Description:
As a contracted Tutor for DYMON’s afterschool program, you will provide targeted academic support in small group or one-on-one settings. Your primary role is to assist middle school students in strengthening their understanding of core subject areas—particularly math, reading, writing, and science—while building confidence and academic independence. This opportunity is ideal for current or former educators who are passionate about youth success and are able to provide structured, responsive, and culturally aware tutoring support. Tutors serve as a key part of the student’s support system and help reinforce what is taught during the school day.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching K–12 students, preferably middle school.
- Strong content knowledge in core academic subjects.
- Ability to adjust instructional methods based on student needs.
- Strong communication, patience, and relationship-building skills.
- Organized, reliable, and committed to student outcomes.
- Comfortable using basic technology to support instruction and documentation.
