Backfield In Motion is an extended learning program dedicated to at-risk, low-income, and students at Metro Nashville Public Schools K -12. It is a 501 © (3) organization. As a staff, we are data driven to ensure that all students are growing and achieving in reading and math, student attendance, and positive behavior while in-school. In the out-of-school time, we push excellence through tutoring, homework help, academic enrichment, STEM, Health and Wellness, and Character Education to empower the whole child. We have several partnerships and corporations for community and school involvements that enhance and support our program.

In Girls Write Nashville Writers Guilds, youth artists express themselves through songwriting, singing, playing instruments, making beats, and recording! Learn from a professional teaching artist and create a supportive community of musicians with your friends and peers!

Metro Parks and Recreation afterschool program for middle-schoolers is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where youth feel socially and emotionally safe, positive youth development principles prevail, and learning is fun and engaging. We create an out-of-school-time culture where youth can develop untapped potential, feel empowered to learn about themselves, and are given opportunities to engage in their community.
